CHAUNCEY RAY BILLUPS VISITS O.P.S



In the above picture, Principal Eric Imbert shares a pictorial moment with retired American professional basketball player Chauncey Ray Billups who visited Oakview Preparatory School for a special event.

Billups who played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), is a five-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA selection. Chauncey is working with the local Yonkers community and with the support of Oakview Preparatory School to revitalize the community.

Chauncey Ray Billups played for the Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Team USA. He won the NBA Finals MVP in 2004 after helping the Pistons beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals and was given the nickname "Mr. Big Shot" for making late-game shots with Detroit.
